I Roy - Heavier Than Lead
Excellent collection of Bunny Lee produced I Roy titles from the seventies, some of which have been around the block many times, others which are relatively fresh. Some of the titles are not recognisable as those that might have fitted the tunes originally, but it’s worth it for the intro to Hard Bud Fi Dead, one of those instalments in the infamous I Roy / Prince Jazzbo / Bunny Lee / Derrick Morgan tit for tat, featuring an out of breath Dirty Harry rushing to inform the righteous Roy of the latest transgression from “the pompous belly man” Lee and the “blind Bartimaeus” Morgan…
