Un 23 de Julio del año 2011 fallece Amy Jade Winehouse una cantante y compositora británica, conocida por sus mezclas de diversos géneros musicales, incluidos entre ellos el Jazz, el R&B, el Soul y por supuesto el Ska... En el verano del año 2009 sale al escenario acompañando a The Specials, una banda legendaria dentro del Ska Británico, V Festival de Chelmsford en Hylands Park de Reino Unido, cantando "You're Wondering Now" y "Ghost Town", de este evento en el 2010 sale a la venta bajo el sello "2 Good Records" un Ep de 7" bajo el titulo de "Specials feat. Amy Winehouse".

Pero esta no sería la primera incursión de Amy dentro del mundo del Ska, ya en el año 2008 bajo el sello "2 Soul Records"  había lanzado un Ep de 7" con edición limitada titulado simplemente como "Amy Winehouse: The Ska EP" en el que rindió tributo a grandes del genero como Toots & The Maytals,  The Specials y Sam Cooke.

Ya para el Año 2009 bajo el sello de "2 Soul Records" lanza un Ep de 7" titulado "Nelson Mandela" en el que se incluye la versión de la presentación en vivo en la Celebración del 90 ª celebración del cumpleaños de Nelson Mandela llevada acabo en el Hyde Park de Londres, el 27 de Junio de 2008.

Si bien en los párrafos anteriores les he mencionado sobre los Ep's publicados con las versiones en Ska de algunas de sus canciones e incluso los corves que decidió interpretar es posible escucharla en el festival de Glastonbury en Inglaterra en los años 2007 y 2008 interpretando temas con base Ska y covers del genero tales como: 

  -"Cupid", "Hey Little Rich Girl"y "Monkey Man" en Glastonbury 2007.

  -"Hey Little Rich Girl", "A Message to You, Rudy" y "You're Wondering Now" en Glastonbury 2008.

Para el año 2011 The Selecter lanzó al público su álbum titulado "Made in britain" en donde se incluye en cover de la canción "Back to Black" compuesta por Amy en el año 2006.
